AKK Gas Pipeline Project

Project Overview

MESC contributed to the landmark Ajaokuta–Kaduna–Kano (AKK) Gas Pipeline Project, one of Nigeria’s most critical gas infrastructure developments.
Our scope focused on delivering specialized 40-inch pipeline tie-in and lowering operations, ensuring seamless integration with the main AKK pipeline system.

This project reinforces the national gas transmission backbone and supports economic growth across Nigeria’s northern industrial corridor.

Scope Of work

Our team carried out end-to-end pipeline and mechanical installation operations, including.

Executed precision tie-in operations on the 40" gas pipeline, including alignment, welding, beveling, and joint integrity validation.

Performed controlled pipeline lowering using engineered lifting plans, certified rigging equipment, and trench stabilization methods.

Carried out pipe stringing, inspection, coating touch-ups, and preparation for final positioning within the trench.

Ensured full adherence to NNPC/Oilserv specifications, industry pipeline standards, and strict HSE protocols throughout execution.

Project Outcomes

MESC successfully delivered the tie-in and lowering operations with high structural integrity, precise alignment, and zero safety incidents.

Our contribution supported the continued rollout of one of Nigeria’s most transformative gas pipeline projects, enhancing national energy distribution capacity.
