Since our incorporation in 2003 and operational launch in 2008, we have grown from a fabrication-focused business into a multi-disciplinary EPC provider known for reliability, safety, and technical excellence. Our Journey Through Time, Building a Legacy of Excellence

From humble beginnings to landmark achievements, our history reflects decades of dedication, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to quality.

2008

MESC began establishing its presence in the oil & gas industry by executing rehabilitation and fabrication projects, including: Rehabilitation of diesel storage vessels, air receivers, and water storage tanks for Halliburton (Port Harcourt). This marked the company’s early specialization in mechanical and fabrication works.

2009-2010

MESC evolved into a full-scale fabrication and installation company by delivering: Expansion of fabrication workshops and overhead crane installations for Flonex Nig. Ltd. Installation of 14 critical pumps (firewater, glycol, diesel, biocide, sewage transfer, etc.) for Alcon CNL. Welding, NDT, blasting, painting & hydro-testing of 15km of in-plot process piping for the Gbaran Ubie FLB Project. This phase solidified the company’s reputation for quality steel and piping works.

2010-2012

2012

MESC delivered long-distance pipeline works by executing: Fit-up, welding, wrapping, testing, and laying of 36" × 2.2km gas lines and 4 × 36" × 428m road-crossing pipelines for NNPC’s Escravos–Lagos Gas Pipeline expansion (BRIT-HDD / ZARKEM). Construction of a 10" × 800m feed gas supply line for the Afam Power Plant Phase 1. These projects established MESC as a key pipeline construction contractor.

2013

MESC handled large-volume storage systems: On-site bending, welding, and installation of 5 product storage tanks and 2 water storage tanks for Ala-Oji and Gbaran NIPP Projects (Rockson Engineering). This strengthened MESC’s tankage and structural fabrication profile.

2014

Delivered complex mechanical and process-related installations including: Fabrication, hook-up, and installation of sludge catcher systems, knockout drums, and flare stacks for SPDC Okoloma Gas Plant. This marked MESC’s entry into higher-level process and production infrastructure.

2015

A year of major pipeline execution, involving: 8” × 5.5km gas supply line construction (Gbaran CPF to Koroama-2). 6” × 5.6km gas supply line (Gbaran NAG M/F to VZTX M/F). 18.6km of Right-of-Way survey, establishment, and bush clearing for Shell Gbaran Phase 2. MESC demonstrated capacity for simultaneous, multi-location pipeline projects.

2020-2021

Delivered significant pipeline infrastructure under Shell Gbaran Phase 3A: Construction of 12” × 11km gas supply lines. Complete ROW survey, clearing, and restoration for the same pipeline corridors. This period emphasized MESC’s continued dominance in pipeline projects.

2022

Most recent major deliveries include: Construction of 10” × 5.5km DSS gas supply line from Gbaran NAG M/F to Gbaran CPF. Comprehensive ROW survey and establishment for new pipeline routes. These modern projects highlight MESC’s evolution into a dependable EPC partner for advanced pipeline systems.
